One of your immediate priorities will be to take the lead on the next iteration of our masterplan for Penrith, responding to consultation to date and refining the plan accordingly. Our expectation is that this role will be taken on by an individual with a proven track record of delivering housing and economic growth - we’ll want to hear about outcomes rather than works in progress. Your background could be outside of a local government setting, but you will need to assure that you have a well-informed understanding of working within a political setting. It’s essential that you can build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and that you can make things happen at pace, while still bringing others with you.
There couldn’t be a better time to take on this role. You’ll join a new leadership team that is committed to delivering the best outcomes of our community, while leading an internal transformation programme: One Eden. There’s a sense of momentum and purpose building within the organisation. With the right leadership, it can deliver great things.
